Sledding in Mt Shasta
So your thinking, just find a hill right? Well lets find you a hill with just the
right grade, and just the right snow, and just the right amount of
people! Now your having fun!
The best place is where your not the only group on the hill, so there is bound to be some experienced parents around to curb any natural born daredevils (every family has them) and if a real emergency happens help
is nearby.
Mount Shasta has two rather famous sledding areas that local families have been going to for generations. The first is
Snowman's Hill located at the ski park turn off at Hwy 89. The second is
Bunny Flats, located on
Everett Memorial Hwy. Always Check Local Weather Conditions.
