Well it's all backcountry now. The Ski Park has closed but, if
you are willing to put in the work, there is still lots of great
skiing to be had.
What is going on with all the snow this
January?
A small California Ski resort, not in the Sierras, not in the
Rockies, but in the Cascades! 14,162 foot Mt Shasta is now the place to be if you
want snow! Mt Shasta has always been a little known ski and board
park, but to those in the know, Mount Shasta, and the surrounding area
is (and has always been) known as the best backcountry skiing & boarding in the world!

trip would be perfect. The City of Mount Shasta has a quaint small town feel and boasts the largest outdoor
ice rink
in all of Northern California, which is open seven days a week from November to March,

permitting.
